Endodontic treatment (root canal treatment)

In the past, a badly damaged tooth would probably have been extracted.

Today, with endodontic treatment (root canal therapy) a damaged tooth can be saved.

This treatment is a procedure that would require up to three visits to Dental Smiles.

When a tooth is fractured or has a deep filling, bacteria could enter into the tissue infecting the dental pulp.

Without treatment, one could develop edema (swelling), pain, or even abscess.

Without proper treatment, your tooth may need to be extracted.

Teeth in need of endodontic treatment (root canal therapy), may have only slight clinical symptoms which could include pain upon chewing, sensitivity to cold or heat or even a slight edema near the area of the affected tooth.

In case you experience any of the above, please contact our dental practice
