Periodontist

Nikolaos Merakos was born in 1981 and grew up in Iraklion Attikis, where he attending public primary and secondary education.

He graduated from Dental School of Athens University in 2005. After completion of his military duty he moved to Sweden (2007). He worked until summer 2020 at Public Dental Services in the region which includes Gothenburg. He has also been part-time associate of Colosseum Clinic in Kristiansand, Norway for a period of 1 year.

During years 2011 and 2015 he attended the postgraduate specialty training programme of Periodontology at Gothenburg University and he graduated in 2015. He has since then lectured on a variety of periodontal topics for various dentist and hygienist societies in Sweden.

He loves studying foreign languages and besides English and Swedish, he has attended courses for German, Spanish and Japanese. He joined DentalSmiles team in 2021.
